Brief description of services:

Founder and President of FMR Centre, Laura has dedicated her career to helping families resolve disputes in a respectful and healthy manner. Laura places great emphasis on fairness and effectiveness of her mediation process. She is a strong believer that “one size does not fit all” and works with families to achieve optimal results for their unique circumstances.

Laura helps parents with matters, such as custody & access, child support, development of comprehensive parenting plans and linking with appropriate local resources.

Reaching a settlement is just the beginning of a new process of adjustment – for the parents and for the children. Laura is committed to working with families to safeguard their emotional wellbeing when going through and after separation or divorce.

Roderic moved to Canada in 2005 and knew he wanted to make a positive change in people's lives by resolving conflicts. For many years, he has coordinated activities to assist youth, seniors, and individuals who are homeless. He was recognized by the Province of Ontario in 2013 as a recipient of the Ontario Volunteer Service Award.

Roderic has a degree in Psychology which he uses to support individuals with various mental abilities as they experience distress and crisis. He is also certified in Alternative Dispute Resolution, a member of ADRIO (Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario) and is following his passion to help others settle their disputes.

Edward Cunningham has been providing counseling, case management and group facilitation in hospital, community and residential settings for the past 15-years.

Edward has held professional positions as an addiction counselor, child advocate and Life Skills coach. Areas of competence include group and individual counseling, case management, crisis intervention and child advocacy.

Edward’s undergraduate studies include Social work, and counseling psychology. He holds a Diploma in Human Services Counselling and is a certified addiction counselor and Life Skills Coach.

Edward is a Member of the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation.

Courtney Pyszynski, B.A., ADR

Courtney Pyszynski has a passion for helping individuals and families transition through challenges in a positive manner! She has always known that she wanted to make a difference in people’s lives.

Courtney started off her educational career by completing her B. A. in Psychology and continued on by pursuing Mediation - Alternative Dispute Resolution, a post-graduate certificate. Courtney has also completed courses such as Family Mediation and Community Mediation.

Courtney spends countless hours volunteering with children; working with them through the conflicts they may face at school, or at home. She has previously worked closely with grade 7 and 8 students, undergoing conflict resolution skills and managing conflicts in their lives.

Courtney is currently a member of Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (ADRIO), and is working towards obtaining her Family Mediator Accreditation.
